ING Mutual mops up Rs 200 crore from Mid-cap Fund

ING Vysya Mutual Fund has collected over Rs 200 crore in the initial public offering of its equity fund, "ING Vysya Midcap Fund". The fund will be investing in around 40 select stocks.

The IPO of the fund, which closed on May 9, received subscriptions from around 10,000 investors across the country.

The fund will be investing in companies having a market capitalisation of Rs 200-2,000 crore.

Ms Kavita Hurry, MD and CEO, ING Vysya Mutual Funds, said, "A fast growing investor base from over 30 locations is a testimony to mutual funds becoming a savings vehicle of choice for the Indian investors".

The company has about Rs 1,800 crore as assets under management.
