Italian co Atlas sets up shop in India

New Delhi , May 17

CERAMIC manufacturer Atlas Concorde, part of Italy's euro 450-million Concorde Group, has set up shop in India with its first retail outlet in Delhi to be followed by another three in Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai.

Set up in partnership with construction accessories company, Hydrobath, Mr Jason Russell, Atlas Concorde's Overseas Business Strategist, said the company had been test marketing its tiles in India for some time now and found a potential market for the product.

Along with Hydrobath, in the last three years, the company had invested close to euros one million, in which Atlas Concorde's contribution was roughly 40 per cent.
