AXN bags TV rights to action movie Kung Fu Hustle

AXN, the action and adventure channel, has announced that it has acquired the rights to the television premiere of the blockbuster action comedy Kung Fu Hustle.

Produced by Mr Bill Borden and directed by Mr Stephen Chow, the movie will be released in theatres across the country on May 27. It will be aired on AXN in the second quarter of 2006.

Set in Canton, China, in the 1940s, Kung Fu Hustle revolves around a hapless Sing (Stephen Chow), who aspires to become a member of the notorious Axe Gang.
