Rediff narrows net loss

MUMBAI: Online news and infotainment provider rediff.com has reported a net loss of $0.24 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2005, compared to a loss of $2.10 million for the corresponding period last year.

Total revenue for this quarter was $3.46 million ($2.55 million), an increase of 35.68 per cent. Net loss for the year ended March 31, 2005, was lower at $1.43 million compared to a loss of $5.72 million last year. Total revenue for this fiscal was $12.63 million ($9.45 million), an increase of 33.65 per cent. The revenue break-up shows that India Online contributed to $2.1 million for this quarter, an increase of 88 per cent compared to last year.
