Our Bureau

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A People's Tribunal set up to look into various aspects of the rehabilitation of those affected by last year's tsunami will visit the tsunami-hit areas of Kerala, Pondicherry and Southern Tamil Nadu in the next few days.

On Friday, members of the tribunal, established by `Voices from the Margins — A Coalition for the tsunami disaster victims', will visit tsunami-affected regions in Tamil Nadu's Kanyakumari district, and Kollam and Alappuzha districts in Kerala. Members of the tribunal will also visit coastal areas in Cuddalore and Nagapattinam, said Mr S.M. Prithviraj, one of the organisers of the event. The field visits will be followed by a public hearing in Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday, he added.
