The Hindu Business Line : Nasscom ITES meet to focus on global leadership

THE Seventh Annual Nasscom ITES-BPO Strategy Summit will be held in Bangalore on June 7 and 8. "Global Leadership and Operational Excellence" will be the theme for event in which over 400 delegates from 300 companies are expected to participate.

According to Nasscom (the National Association of Software and Services Companies), prominent ITES-BPO chief executives expected to attend the summit include Mr Akshaya Bhargava of Progeon, Mr Ananda Mukherjee of ICICI Onesource, Mr Atul Kunwar of eFunds International, Mr Dan Sandhu of Vertex, Mr Jaswinder Ghumman of Convergys, Mr Jerry Rao of MphasiS, Mr P.V. Kannan of 24x7 Customer and Mr Raman Roy of Wipro BPO, among others.

The President of Nasscom, Mr Kiran Karnik, in a statement said the summit this year will provide a platform for both third party and captive vendors to probe and dwell upon the issues and challenges for securing global leadership. The event would feature two exclusive platforms for the CEOs and the operational heads. Besides the CEO conclave, the topics for other sessions included examining the business impact of domestic policy and regulations, security and data privacy: raising the bar, managing investor expectations, from BPO to BTO, defining metrics for customer service delivery and sustaining the skill pool advantage, said a Nasscom press release.
