Hindustan Sanitaryware net up

NEW DELHI: Hindustan Sanitaryware and Industries Ltd's gross sales increased 31 per cent to Rs 110.96 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2005.

Net profit from the operations was up about 60 per cent at Rs 11.84 crore. For the 12 months ended March 31, 2005, the company posted 8.54 per cent higher gross sales at Rs 331.55 crore, while net profit from operations increased 35 per cent to Rs 28.97 crore.

During the year, the company allotted two fully paid-up bonus equity shares for every three shares held on January 6, 2005. Hindustan Sanitaryware has also declared a dividend of Rs 2.75 per share. The Joint Managing Director, Mr Sandip Somany, said, "The fourth quarter results are in line with our expectations and conclude a landmark year for Hindustan Sanitaryware."
