Dishman net dips marginally

AHMEDABAD: Contract drug manufacturer Dishman Pharmaceuticals Ltd has reported a marginal fall in its fourth quarter net profit from Rs 8.83 crore to Rs 8.73 crore on a sales turnover of Rs 44.7 crore.

The company's consolidated turnover in the January-March quarter of 2004-05 was down 20 per cent, compared to Rs 56 crore in the corresponding previous quarter.

Year-on-year, however, Dishman logged a net profit of Rs 33.20 crore in 2004-05, compared to Rs 20.89 crore the previous year.

The turnover rose 11 per cent from Rs 168.17 crore to Rs 187.36 crore in 2004-05.

Interest and financial charges totalled Rs 9.33 lakh in the year under review, compared to Rs 12.14 crore the previous year.
