Letters Power reforms
This has reference to your editorial "Politics of power reforms" (Business Line June 1). While the article rightly concludes that the problem can only be resolved by direct confrontation from all parties, it is pertinent to note that the common man's patience has its own "Lakshman Rekha". The `self-made' power crisis and the prolonged power cuts in Maharashtra have recently assumed enormous proportions in the form of widespread protests at times violent in different towns in the State. This is the right time for politicians in the country to come out with an acceptable solution to resolve this issue once and for all without politicising it. Vivek Arunachalam Sholapur (Maharashtra)
