Agricultural crisis

Free electricity alone will not solve the agricultural crisis. The main problem is irregular monsoons. Hence, the Government should concentrate both on inter-linking of rivers and installing more desalination plants, especially in coastal areas.

This apart, the Government should aid and encourage aforestation.

Stringent rules should also be passed to stop industries from flushing out polluted water directly into cultivable lands and rivers.
