THE Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC), an animation and visual effects institute, has opened its training centre in Chennai.

This is the institute's first centre in Tamil Nadu and 36th in the country, according to Mr Rajesh Turakhia, CEO of Maya Entertainment Ltd.

MAAC is a multimedia training division of Maya Entertainment.

The institute would provide courses and training in animation and in the areas of cinematography, direction, visual effects and compositing and editing etc.
