APSFC steps up disbursements to entrepreneurs

THE Andhra Pradesh State Financial Corporation (APSFC) has accorded in-principle approval to 38 projects involving financial assistance of Rs 76.97 crore. It has also extended financial assistance of Rs 4.27 crore to 11 entrepreneurs.

The Chairman of APSFC, Mr M. Gopalakrishna, in a statement said that the corporation would strive to promote industry, provide employment and foster value addition for rapid economic growth of the State. He assured the entrepreneurs of speedy, customised and integrated service.

The corporation, which has completed 49 years of financial services to industries in the State, hosted a one-day entrepreneurs awareness meet to kick off month-long programmes in nine centres to mark its golden jubilee year.

The programmes soughtto focus on issues, appraise and inform the existing and prospective entrepreneurs about simplified systems and, thereby, pave the way for on the spot approval for viable proposals.

During the programme, APSFC received 130 enquiries for financial assistance of Rs 55.74 crore. Given the response of the initiative, the corporation now plans to host similar programmes in Kakinada, Tirupathi, Guntur, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Vizianagaram, Kurnool and again at Hyderabad on July 1.
