Farmers told to go for early maturing seeds

Our Bureau

NEW DELHI: The Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR) has said farmers should sow early maturing seeds like bajra to overcome any deficiency in rainfall.

"Farmers need not get worried about 10-15 days delay in monsoon, instead they should go in for early maturity varieties rather than late maturity varieties," ICAR Director General, Mr Mangala Rai, told reporters.
