CODELINKS Data Services, part of Fortune 500's $4.33-billion Conseco Inc, has announced plans for expansion, name change and restructure of its India operations.

Speaking to Business Line, the Chairman of Codelinks, Mr Monty Mohanty, said the company is investing about $3 million in Hyderabad which will enable them to double its headcount to 300 and move over to Cyber Pearl later this year.

"We are re-branding the company as Conseco India, and have applied to the Registrar of Companies. The Indian subsidiary will focus on software development and establish centres of excellence for quality testing and other services to serve the parent company," he said.

Last year, the company registered revenues of $3.5 million from the Indian centre. It expects to achieve a turnover of $10 million by 2007 and consolidate operations at the new 40,000 sq.ft. facility, said Mr Mohanty.
