THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Labour Welfare Fund Inspector has notified that specified institutions should pay up the half-yearly instalment of the employee welfare fund before July 5.

Those institutions that are required to pay up as per this notification are small and big factories, companies, banks, the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation, the plantation sector, cooperative institutions, hospitals, lab centres, cinema theatres, work shops and commercial establishments that employ two or more workers.

Those who fail to comply with the notification will be proceeded against as provided by law, an official spokesman said here.
