IOC's Gujarat refinery resumes operations

INDIAN Oil Corporation's Gujarat Refinery has begun operation after the first impact of floods in the State receded.

According to the company, the primary processing units, which were shut down due to incessant rains and water logging early this week, have been re-commissioned by the refinery since Saturday.

All crude distillation units have been put on stream and the secondary processing units, namely, the fluidised catalytic cracking unit and hydrocracker are under start-up, the released said.

The LAB plant at the refinery has also been put back on stream from Sunday. The Koyali-Ahmedabad product pipeline has also been commissioned on Sunday for pumping petro products to Ahmedabad.
