Mumbai , July 5

P&G has stretched its anti-dandruff shampoo brand of Head & Shoulders to an aloe vera variant.

The FMCG major is unleashing a new ad film featuring Preity Zinta for the H&S brand which has been made by Saatchi & Saatchi in Bangkok. At a press conference announcing the launch of H&S's new variant, Mr Rahul Malhotra, Associate Director, Marketing, P&G, said, "We plan to take the aloe vera variant of H&S to other countries in South East Asia." The new variant is pegged on par (Rs 64 for 100 ml and Rs 122 for 100 ml) with the brand's existing five variants.

Claiming to be the number one shampoo brand in the anti-dandruff category, Mr Malhotra added, "When we appointed Preity Zinta as our brand ambassador last year, the brand was number 2. Today, H&S is the number one shampoo brand in the anti-dandruff category.''

Among its three shampoo brands, mass shampoo brand — Rejoice — is growing the fastest, according to the company.
