Airlines Marketing - Strategy Nepal's Cosmic Air keen to fly to more Indian destinations Our Bureau
Kolkata , July 10 HAVING launched flights on the Kathmandu-Delhi and Kathmandu-Kolkata sectors, Nepal's Cosmic Air, the low-cost airline, wants to launch flights to other Indian destinations such as Mumbai, Bangalore and Lucknow. The airline has already firmed up plans to launch flights on the Kathmandu-Varanasi sector, according to Mr M.B. Mathema, Managing Director of Cosmic Air Pvt Ltd. Addressing a news conference here on the occasion of the launch of flights on the Kathmandu-Kolkata-Kathmandu sector, Mr Mathema said Cosmic Air was awaiting a review of the bilaterals between India and Nepal before launching flights to other Indian destinations. Towards this end, the private airline was working on plans to augment the number of Fokker 100 jet aircraft in its fleet from four at present to eight by March 2006.
