25 pay channels launched since December 2003

TWENTY-FIVE new pay channels have been launched since December 26, 2003, according to figures released by broadcast regulator TRAI.

This also includes six channels that were initially under free-to-air (FTA).

The channels that have gone pay include Sab TV, NDTV 24X7, Udaya TV and MTV.

On the other hand, new pay channels include Zoom, Hungama TV, Star One and Disney Channel.
