Indian Bank gesture to poor student

Our Bureau

HYDERABAD: Indian Bank said it has sanctioned an educational loan of Rs 6.6 lakh to an economically backward student without any security, in response to news that appeared in the media on his plight.

Mr Kaavali Ravinder, a son of a daily wage labourer here, secured 95 per cent in the intermediate exam and also got a seat in BITS Pilani in Engineering. Finding it beyond his means to pay such a huge fee, he solicited help from people through the media.
