Air India waives cancellation fees

Our Bureau

Mumbai , Aug. 1

Air India has announced that it would be waiving the fee of $125-150 charged for cancellation or rebooking for travel from India to the US, the UK and Europe as a relief measure to passengers effecting change to travel plans following the torrential rains in Mumbai.

An AI spokesperson said that this was being granted as a goodwill gesture considering that the rains have impacted business and family life of several people.

Passengers who wish to change travel dates on these routes may approach the nearest AI office for revised bookings/reservations without payment of the applicable fee, until further notice, an official statement said.
