Railways Info-Tech - E-Commerce & E-Business e-ticketing on Kalka-New Delhi Shatabdi from Aug 12 Our Bureau
New Delhi , Aug. 9 RAILWAYS will be launching its e-ticketing scheme in up and down Kalka-New Delhi Shatabdi trains from August 12. In this scheme, the photo identity card of the traveller along with the printout of the Electronic Reservation Slip (ERS) would constitute the authority to travel on the train, an official release said on Tuesday. The service can be availed by the customer from the Web site, www.irctc.co.in, duly selecting the "e-ticket" option. While booking, the passenger has to give the details of any one of the photo identity cards — Voter Identity, Passport, PAN card, Driving Licence, Central/State Government issued employees ID cards, and non-Indians can submit their passport.
