Our Correspondent

Kottayam , Aug 10

ANOTHER downhill in the international markets hammered the spot rubber prices on Wednesday.

The market seemed to be under tremendous pressure even on low quantity selling orders as most of the buyers were unwilling to enhance their commitments.

The NMCE futures were firm except for its far month November even against disappointing overseas advices. The August contract was traded at Rs 63 (Rs 62.96), September at Rs 61.15 (Rs 61.07), October at Rs 59.25 (Rs 59.14) and the November contract at Rs 58.30 (Rs 58.38) a kg for RSS 4.

The September futures for RSS 3 at TOCOM fell sharply to 175 yen against 183.4 yen a kg

The physical rubber prices were as follows: RSS-4: Rs 61.50 (Rs 62); RSS-5: Rs 58 (Rs 60); ungraded: Rs 55 (Rs 56); ISNR 20: Rs 56 (Rs 56.75) and latex 60 per cent: Rs 39 (Rs 39.50).
