President's speech

It was heartening and refreshing to listen to the Independence Day speech by the President on August 14.

In the context of the energy crisis that the nation is facing, the President's speech will provide direction to the government and the public.

I do not recall a more meaningful Independence Day address from a President.

I hope the politicians and bureaucrats will address and tackle engineering and technological issues, as doing so could in turn solve economic problems that the country is facing.
