SBI opens RBO in Thrissur

Our Bureau

KOCHI: The State Bank of India (SBI), as part of its latest business processing re-engineering initiatives, has opened its Regional Business Office (RBO) at Thrissur, Kerala, on Wednesday.

Inaugurating the RBO, Ms Radha Unni, General Manager of the Bank, said that setting up of the RBOs was part of the services extended by the bank to its customers.

The RBO concept that effectively transfers the power to the real centre of business would, in a large way, lead to increased interaction with customers and augment greater thrust on lending, Mr S. Ramakrishnan, DGM of the bank, said. According to Mr M.V. Easwaran, Regional Manager of the RBO, the SBI, which already has an edge in the agri-finance sector, would now be in a position to lend special focus in this area.
