Human Resources JAC rejects AP Govt offer Our Bureau
HYDERABAD: Turning down the State Government's fitment offer of 12.5 per cent hike in pay scales, the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of State Government employees has asserted that it would go on strike from September 5. The JAC would not consider anything less than 20 per cent, Mr B.V. Subba Rao, Chairman of the committee, told reporters on Monday. Meanwhile, the Government appealed to the JAC not to go ahead with the strike, keeping in mind the precarious financial position of the State Government. The Government raised the fitment to 12.5 per cent as against 10 per cent recommended by the Pay Revision Commission. "This will mean a financial outflow of Rs 1,700 crore a year," a Government release said.
