A chicken vendor taking a break at the New Market in Kolkata on Wednesday. Chicken prices are ruling flat between Rs 45 and Rs 50 a kg due to fall in consumption. Consumers are keeping off non-vegetarian food in view of the month of Shravan in the Hindu calendar.
