Events Meet on information security Our Bureau
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Section of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is organising a two-day national seminar on `Information Security - IEEE iSEC 2005' at Mascot Hotel here from September 2. According to Mr A.K. Unnikrishnan, Chairman, Organising Committee, the seminar will aim to present the state-of-the-practice in information security from a balanced perspective. Topics will cover fundamental security problems, security mechanisms, vulnerabilities and counter measures. Speakers are authorities in their respective fields, with representation from the academic, research and industrial sectors. Prof N. Balakrishnan, Chairman, Division of Information Sciences, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, will deliver the keynote address.
