NEW DELHI: Comvergs Corporation, which provides customer care, human resources, and billing services, has announced the appointment of Mr Koustuv Mitra as Senior Director and Head of Human Resources for its customer care operations in India.

"Mr Mitra is responsible for HR management and functions including the day-to-day oversight of local HR teams and activities in Convergys' customer care facilities in India. His responsibilities include strategies for employee relations, employee recruitment, development, and retention in the large and growing Indian job market, as Convergys pushes beyond the current 10,000 employee mark," a company release said here.

The company would be opening a new facility in Mumbai later this year.
