HT Media debuts on BSE at Rs 685

Mumbai , Sept 1

SHARES of HT Media Ltd made their debut on the Bombay Stock Exchange at Rs 685, up from its issue price of Rs 530 per share.

The shares moved up to a high of Rs 731 and fell to a low of Rs 542. They ended the session at Rs 557.67.

HT Media, which publishes the Hindustan Times and Hindustan, had entered the equity market to raise Rs 400 crore through its initial public offering.

Ms Shobhana Bhartiya, Vice-Chairman and Editorial Director, HT Media, sounded the gong to mark the listing of the company's shares on the BSE.

The company had earlier announced plans to launch a business daily. HT Media also plans to enter into radio and Internet. It has signed an MoU with Virgin Radio and would apply for government's approval as and when it seeks bids.
