`Paison ki Nilami' exceeds target

`PAISON ki Nilami', the auction of interest rates organised by Srei Infrastructure Finance Ltd (SREI) on August 31, has generated business worth Rs 175 crore as against the target of Rs 150 crore.

About 550 participants from all over the country bid for 700 pieces of equipment, according to Mr Hemant Kanoria, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, SREI Infrastructure Finance Ltd. The third edition of the auction was held at Shilpa Kala Vedika auditorium at Madhapur. SREI, a leading player in the infrastructure equipment financing sector, conducted similar auctions in Kolkata and Bhubaneshwar in the last 10 months. Each of the earlier auctions witnessed a business volume of Rs 150 crore.

The equipment, put on auction, comprised excavators, tippers, dumpers, loaders, graders, batching plants, compressors, crushers and transit mixers from leading brands in India and abroad. Original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) such as Volvo, JCB, Ingersoll Rand, Tata Motors and Schwing Stetter participated, Mr Kanoria said.
