The Hindu Business Line : KCCI chief on NMPT board

MANGALORE: The President of the Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Mr A. Srinivasa Rao, has been nominated on the board of the New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT).

A KCCI release said here that the Union Ministry of Shipping, through a Gazette notification dated August 5, has nominated Mr Rao as a trustee in the reconstituted board of NMPT for 2005-07, effective from April 1.

He will represent KCCI in `other interests in elected category', it said.
