Andhra Bank's 12-hr banking

HYDERABAD: Andhra Bank on Monday launched the 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. banking in two branches at Malakpet and Vikasnagar in Hyderabad.

The Chairman and Managing Director, Mr K. Ramakrishnan who inaugurated the new timings at Vikasnagar said, "Depending on the response, the bank proposes to increase the number of such branches. He indicated that at least 30 branches in the State could offer this service."

Major transactions like receipts and payments, clearing, remittances and safe deposit lockers would be offered at these branches. "We are fine-tuning the operation modules for starting 7-day banking as well," Mr R. Balakrishnan, Executive Director of the Bank said. He pointed out that some of the branches in Hyderabad would be providing 7-day banking to the customers shortly.
