Oilseeds & Edible Oil Castor cake, meal to get benefits under Vishesh Krishi Upaj Yojana Our Bureau
Mumbai , Sept 8 THE Commerce and Industry Ministry has notified that fats and meals of tree borne oilseeds as well as castor cake and meal would be eligible for benefits under Vishesh Krishi Upaj Yojana. The Director General of Foreign Trade has issued a Public Notice in this regard. The list of fats and meals include fixed vegetable oils mawra oil, kokam oil, sal oil/sal fat, dhup oil, neemseed oil and nigerseed oil, mango kernel fat/oil, mahua/mouha fat/oil, mango kernel oil. Also, the list of oil-cake and oil-cake meal, expeller varieties of - mowraseeds, nigerseeds, seasamumseeds, mangokernel, sal-de-oiled, castor seeds and neem seeds and also oil-cake and oil-cake meal, solvent extracted (defatted) varieties of mango kernel oilcake/meal and sal fat/oil/stearine. "The association was pursuing the Commerce Ministry to include all fats and meals of tree borne oilseeds and other oilmeals under Vishesh Krishi Upaj Yojana to avail duty credit script equivalent to 5 per cent of f.o.b. value of export for each licensing year commencing from April 1, 2004," Mr B.V. Mehta, Executive Director of the Solvent Extractors' Association, said, in a release.
