IN the last one week (September 2-September 9), the stock price of Indian Rayon has moved from Rs 574 to Rs 617.45 on the BSE, a rise of 7.55 per cent.

The stock of Indo Gulf Fertiliser increased from Rs 153 to Rs 169.25, a gain of 10.62 per cent and the Birla Global Finance stock increased marginally from Rs 138.5 to Rs 142.90.

Trading volumes in most of the counters increased by 50 per cent. The volume in Indian Rayon increased from over 38,000 shares on the BSE to 83,000. On the NSE, it increased from 1.03 lakh 1.59 lakh shares.

In Indo Gulf, the volume jumped from 49,000 shares to 63,000 on the BSE and 51,000 to 90,000 shares on the NSE.

In the case of Birla Global Finance, the volume increased from 29,000 shares to 81,000 shares on the NSE. But on the BSE, the volume declined from 67,000 shares to 58,000 shares.
