ESPN STAR bags multi-year deal for MotoGP telecast

ESPN STAR Sports has bagged a multi-year broadcast deal for the MotoGP World Championship — the premier motorbike racing circuit.

The channel has been broadcasting the races for the last 10 years. Under an agreement with Dorna Sports, which holds exclusive commercial and TV rights forthe championship, ESPN STAR Sports will broadcast all the 17 races live over the next three seasons (2006 to 2008), across all Asian markets.Mr Manu Sawhney, Senior Vice-President, Programming and Event Management, ESPN STAR Sports, said, "Over the years, we have focused on growing motor sports content on our networks across Asia."
