Promoting growth

The human development index (HDI) is the most fundamental index that reflects the true development of any nation.

India's HDI is ranked at number 127 in the world. In view of this, huge advertisements falsely claim development by various governments and ministries, wasting crores of taxpayers' money. This practice must be banned, until the HDI moves into the top 20 positions at least. The chief reasons for such a pathetically low HDI are:

  • lack of political will;
  • ever exploding population;

  • institutionalised corruption;

  • caste-based recruitment and promotions;

  • and, heavy bribery.
