Tea Corporate - Awards & Honours Tantea bags `largest tea seller' award P.S. Sundar
COONOOR: The Coonoor-based Tamil Nadu Tea Plantation Corporation (Tantea) has claimed the award for the largest tea seller in the corporate sector in the Coimbatore auctions during 2004-05. The award, instituted by the Tea Trade Association of Coimbatore (TTAC), was presented by Mr R. D. Nazeem, Executive Director of Tea Board in South India. Ashok Kumar Tea Factory, Coonoor, won the award for the largest tea seller in the bought-leaf sector. Hindustan Lever Ltd, Coonoor, got the award for the largest leaf tea buyer, while AV Thomas and Co Ltd, Coimbatore, bagged awards for the largest dust tea buyer and the largest tea broker. Saraf enterprises (I) P Ltd, Coimbatore received the award for the largest tea warehouse.
