Corporation Bank's Hindi interface in final stages of testing

THE Chairman and Managing Director of Corporation Bank, Mr V.K. Chopra, has said the bank's core banking interface in Hindi is in the final stages of testing.

Inaugurating Hindi Day celebrations at the bank's official language division here on Tuesday, Mr Chopra said that this would help promote greater use of Hindi as the official language.

He said the bank, which is celebrating its centenary this year, has plans to set up a hi-tech library in Mangalore.

Mr Chopra gave away prizes to winners of various competitions on the occasion. Mr R.P. Gopalan, Assistant General Manager and Head of Official Language Division, presented a report on the activities of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee. Mr K.L. Gopalakrishna, Executive Director, presided over the function.
