The data hub is a component of the Rs 12,000-crore National e-Governance Plan. The Plan is aimed at integrated IT infrastructure so that government to citizen, government to government and government to business interactions become faster, more efficient and productive.

Oracle would be part of a consortium and work with Indiansoftware companies such as Infosys, Tata Consultancy, Satyam and Wipro, to tap e-Governance projects. In India, there are over 100 e-Governance projects that work on Oracle products, he said.
