Aurobindo Pharma plans to sell unit

Hyderabad , Oct. 17

AUROBINDO Pharma Ltd is planning to sell one of its non-regulatory manufacturing facilities due to the shift in focus towards highly regulated markets.

The company informed the stock exchanges on Monday that it proposes to sell/dispose of unit-VII, situated at Jinnaram Mandal in Medak district of Andhra Pradesh.

According to the company, the net block value of this unit as on March 31, 2005 was 1.14 per cent of the total net block of its fixed assets.

The company is convening an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders through postal ballot to seek their consent for the proposed sale.
