Mumbai B-School fest a hit with students

Our Bureau

Mumbai , Oct. 19

THE ongoing weeklong annual festival of SIES College of Management Studies comprising eight events covering seven disciplines is a serious attempt by management students to demonstrate their focus and competitive strengths.

The Navi Mumbai-based B-School is the first of its kind to have stream-specific special corporate interactions in areas that include marketing, finance, human resources, advertising, information technology, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals.

By organising continuous interaction between management students and experts from corporate world, the institution seeks to provide students a deep insight into various management practices and prepares them to face challenges later in their career.

The HR event — Nirmaan, the DNA of business excellence — and Marketing event — Parivartan, the experience of change — saw students from more than 30 colleges from across the country compete for coveted trophies. Top corporate executives from various disciplines addressed students on a range of topics including quantification of HR and role of technology in market promotion.
