Norway paint major to enter India

BANGALORE: Norway-based Jotun Paints plans to launch a series of new products in the country.

A press statement from Jotun Paints said the company had the potential to provide a single source solution for all paints and coatings. "The formulation used for products in India is different from that in West Asia the Middle East, taking into account the difference in humidity, salinity, temperate and other factors," the Jotun's Country Manager for India, Mr Percy Jijina, said.

Headquartered in Norway, The Jotun Group is one of the world's major manufacturers of paints, coatings and powder coatings. In 2004, its sales were was over $900 million.
