Software Info-Tech - Financial Performance HCL Info net up 44 pc at Rs 62 cr Our Bureau
New Delhi , Oct 19 HCL Infosystems has registered a net profit of Rs 62.1 crore, a 44 per cent growth, for the quarter ended September 30, 2005, compared to Rs 43.2 crore in the corresponding quarter the previous year. The company reported consolidated revenues of Rs 2,284.5 crore(Rs 1579.5 crore), a growth of 45 per cent. The hardware major also declared a quarterly interim dividend of 100 per cent at Rs 2 per share. Consolidated earning per share (EPS) stood at Rs 3.7, HCL Infosystems Chairman and CEO, Mr Ajai Chowdhry said in a statement today. Profit before tax (PBT) rose 48 per cent to Rs 82 crore (Rs 55.4 crore). Giving a performance break-up of various businesses, HCL said revenues from the computer systems business was Rs 486.7 crore compared to Rs 394.7 crore in the corresponding quarter the previous year, a growth of 23 per cent. Revenue from the office automation and telecommunication business stood at Rs 1,791.2 crore (Rs 1174.7 crore), a growth of 52 per cent. The turnover on "standalone" basis during the quarter was Rs 486.7 crore even as net profit stood at Rs 29.8 crore.
