JMC bags TN road project

MUMBAI: JMC Projects (I) Ltd has secured two projects from the National Highways Authority of India for four-laning work on the Tiruchi-Madurai road in a 50:50 joint venture with Dineshchandra Agarwal Infracon Pvt Ltd. The projects include the 61-km Tiruchi-Torarpurchi stretch for Rs 205 crore and the 65-km Torarpurchi-Madurai stretch for Rs 215 crore, according to a company release here today.

The execution period for the projects is 30 months and would involve construction of new flexible/rigid pavement, and reconstruction/ strengthening/widening of the existing carriageway of NH 45B. Total road width would be 24.5 metres including median, service roads, kerb, paved shoulder, earthen shoulder and roadside drains.

JMC Projects had recently raised Rs 31.36 crore from shareholders through a rights issue. It has made forays into infrastructure projects and completed roadwork on the 47-km Ahmedabad-Mehsana road.
