Northwest KLM puts Bangalore operations on hold

Bangalore , Oct. 29

FUEL costs have forced Northwest Airline to put its Bangalore flight programme on hold. The airline was scheduled to start daily Seattle-Amsterdam-Bangalore service from October 30.

A release said the airline's move comes from its recent decision to reduce its level of flying stems from the impact of near-record level fuel costs.

The flights may be held up for at least a year.

"We apologise for any inconvenience this action has caused our passengers. Northwest/KLM is contacting customers to arrange alternative travel arrangements," the release said.
