Workshop on IPR at Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Andhra Pradesh Technology Development and Promotion Centre (APTDC) will organise a two-day national workshop on `Intellectual property rights (IPR) in manufacturing' here, beginning on November 10.

"It will focus on IPR and its implications on the manufacturing sector. The meet will discuss the recent amendments to the Indian patent laws and its implications on the manufacturing sector," an APTDC press release said here on Monday.

Mr S. Chandrasekharan, Controller General (Patents, Trademarks and Designs, Government of India), Dr Sanjay Chandra, Chief (R&D) of Tata Steel, and Dr Venkat Ramani, Head (Patents Division) of Hindustan Lever Ltd, would address the workshop.
