A feature of the MoU is to establish a Satyam Microsoft Adaptive Solution Centre in the Greater China region.

Hyderabad , Nov. 9

SATYAM Computer Services Ltd and Microsoft China have entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to jointly develop a multi-billion Enterprise Solutions market in the Greater China region.

The agreement, which is a step further in the Satyam Microsoft Global Alliance, seeks to use the Microsoft platform and products along with solutions and services from Satyam.

Another feature of the MoU is to establish a Satyam Microsoft Adaptive Solution Centre in the Greater China region. The centre will showcase Satyam's capabilities in offering enterprise business solutions as well as Microsoft products and tools.

According to a press release from Satyam, a significant pool of skilled Satyam professional would staff the centre. These include technology consultants who will focus on reduction in total cost of ownership (TCO) and will enhance return on investment (ROI).

Satyam and Microsoft see the Greater China region as a booming enterprise market with an appetite for innovative, high-value, rapid execution, low TCO business solutions and, therefore, have committed to long-term joint investments, the release said.

The MoU targets the manufacturing, telecom, automotive, banking, financial services, healthcare, insurance, retail, consumer goods, travel, logistics and retail market segments.

Commenting on the development, Mr Ram Mynampati, President, Satyam, said, "China is emerging as the marketplace where MNCs are rapidly adapting enterprise solutions today to compete successfully and regional Chinese enterprises will mature soon to demand such innovations."
