This is with reference to the letter `Work is worship' (Business Line, November 9): I feel teachers can be deployed in rural areas that have little or no schooling facilities, during the lean months following the term examinations.

In the same way, teachers from rural regions can be sent to urban schools to get better acquainted with the teaching methods in cities and metros.

This will not only improve the knowledge and experience of teachers from both sections, it will also pave the way for national integration.

K. Balasundaram
