Jerry Rao sells 2.6 pc stake in MphasiS BFL

MUMBAI: The Chairman of MphasiS BFL Software, Mr Jerry Rao, has sold 20.82 lakh shares (around 2.6 per cent of equity) of the company in the open market.

Mr Rao sold these shares on Wednesday at around Rs 127.50 on the NSE. Templeton Mutual Fund bought these shares. The total value of the shares sold by Mr Rao works out to Rs 26.54 crore.

According to September 2005 shareholding pattern, Mr Rao held 42.31 lakh shares in his personal capacity. Mr Rao has holdings in the company through MphasiS Holdings, which has a 8.42 per cent stake in the company. On Thursday, the stock closed at Rs 127, down marginally from Wednesday's Rs 127.50
